Ayesha Erkin

Ayesha Erkin is a Culinary Architect.

she designs the spaces where people gather, the food they gather around, and the stories that make it mean something.

Ayesha came up through hospitality before training as an architect, spending eight years in practice at firms including Lake|Flato before combining the two. Her work starts from experience rather than theory: what a space asks of the people living in it, what a dish asks of the person eating it.

Her commissions span Rolls-Royce, Zegna, Qatar Museums, the Bukhara Biennial, Bundesliga, and Soho House — alongside residencies, restaurant consulting, and lectures at Columbia GSAPP. She co-produced and hosted If You Love the Food, Love the People for Participant Media, and her research on the "fourth place" — the table as civic architecture — is published in Al Journal and presented as part of Design Doha 2026. She is a RARE with Google leader.

Born to Turkic and Arab families and raised across Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and the US, she designs from the hyphen - for everyone who lives between places. She lives between Dallas, London, and Dubai, and works globally.
