Much of my work is rooted in curiosity; where I’m from? how do others eat? where did this originate from? how can I bring people together?
My TCK immigrant upbringing brought about my love for researching and developing recipes, diving into both traditional, family heritage and fusion approaches. As a co-founder of Brown Girls Food Club, I’ve hosted sold out events since 2019 in over 8 cities internationally. I’m consistently advocating to preserve immigrant food culture, which has led to producing a series with Participant media. You can find some of my work featured on The Independent, Bon Appetit, NYT or on social media where I’m always experimenting and creating series like “Date Of The Day”.
Food is storytelling, community, heritage, family.
Food is fun.

FOOD WRITING
I sent a plate of fruits for Majid,” my mom messaged in our WhatsApp group. Any immigrant child knows that’s code for love.
